Robert Burtons Printing and Packaging is an eco-friendly printing company that's looking to the future.
Environmental concerns are becoming increasingly important to every business. The materials traditionally used in printing have been the subject of review across the industry and at Robert Burton's we have taken a keen interest in the move towards environmental responsibility.
For the safety of our workers as well as the environment we have implemented several measures that reduce the impact that our work practices have on the environment:
- 100% of our paper waste is collected and recycled
- 100% of our metal printing plates are recycled
- We use vegetable-based printing inks (no VOC emissions)
- We use recycled papers and papers sourced from accredited plantation forests
- We have implemented a policy to reduce and eliminate hydrocarbons in our work place where possible to improve the health of our employees as well be kinder to the environment
As well as looking at our direct work practices in terms of producing eco-friendly printing and eco-friendly packaging, we have undertaken 100% Low CO2 certification with the Carbon Reduction Institute to reduce our carbon footprint.
Robert Burtons now offers its customers with carbon neutral print. For a small surcharge you have the choice to offset the carbon footprint of your printed product.
Our ultimate aim is to be carbon neutral so that we can be confident that we are meeting our corporate social responsibility and offering our clients the best service possible.

Robert Burton's Printing & Packaging has come a long way since 1950 when we set up business with three staff, printing movie posters for film companies such as Columbia Tri Star and Twentieth Century Fox.
Since then we have evolved into a diverse and dynamic supplier of general printing and packaging products to many of Australia's best-known corporate, retail and packaging companies.
We specialise in a range of innovative packaging products, including folding cartons, blister packaging, skin packaging, retail-ready packaging and paper and self-adhesive labels. General printing and finishing services are still very much part of our business, and we maintain ties to customers who have been using our services for over 20 years.
Although times may change, we have never lost sight of our origins. Our values have remained the same since our first day of business over half a century ago, and our unstinting commitment to high service levels and innovative products continues to be at the heart of our business.
And, as very much an eco-friendly printing company we feel that we should act with responsibility in our day-to-day business operations.
